There are three major locations for characters to live in within the Universe Unlimited world: New York City, Gotham City and Westchester County. Each offers a unique RP environment, and can be seen as a broad guideline for what you can expect in those particular areas on the In-Character grid. Here is a short description of each.

New York CityEdit

The single largest metropolitan area in the world, regularly referred to as the "Capital of the World." The United Nations, as well as the Intergalactic Embassy, are located here and even considering its high population, the pure number of super-powered individuals is staggering. Battles between heroes and villains is not uncommon in this center of business, art and culture.

Gotham CityEdit

Often cited as the most dangerous city in America, and for good reason. Until recently, the gangs and mobs had an iron grip on the power in Gotham. Only in the last decade, with the rise of the mythical vigilante known only as the Batman and a (relatively) reformed police department, have things begun to improve. True superhumans are rare, but not unheard of, and Gotham boasts an inexplicably high rate of violent mental illness, even for a major metropolitan area.

Westchester CountyEdit

To the casual observer, this sleepy upper New York state community might appear to be a quant slice of classic Americana. However, underneath the surface, Salem Center is one of the most unusual towns in the country, if not the world. For one, it houses the unassuming Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, secretly a training facility for mutants and the headquarters of the controversial superhero squad the X-Men. It also has an unusually high population of people interested in the occult and practiced magick, including some of the most powerful magicians and sorcerers in the world.
